Luther Mark Eades

Luther Mark Eades, (Mark), born on July 30th, to Luther and Ruth Eades of Hurt, passed away on November 25th, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Bett) Eades; his brother, Tim Eades and wife Twyla, along with their children Jesse, Kellye, and grandchildren Aleli and Evelyn of Ohio. Mark was the proud father of 13 children and grandfather to 17 grandchildren including : April Tannehill and husband John, Gabriel Eades and wife Mandee, Hannah Eades, Savannah Eades Witt and husband Jeff, Adam Eades and fiancée Savannah Du Barry, Kaleb Eades and wife Hannah, Nikolai Eades, twins Seth and Sienna Eades, Noah, Luke and Levi Eades. His grandchildren include Ieliel, Illarion, Elowen, Evren, Liev, Elijah, Suri, Eiseley, Helium, Waveland, Waverly, and twins Lorelai and Olivia, and Annie and Ruby. He is also survived by many in laws in the Snyder family as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Barrie Lynne, Seth and Sienna's birth triplet, his brother Barry Lynn, his parents Luther and Ruth Eades and his nephew Jonathan Eades and many aunts and uncles. A simple, humble, and gentle man, Mark was deeply devoted to his family. He was a renowned musician with a lifelong passion for the piano, playing at various churches and events throughout the years. He was also a proud Certified Insurance Counselor, the highest designation in his insurance field, and was the owner of Altavista Insurance. He used his insurance expertise and congenial personality to help an infinite amount of families and businesses with their insurance needs. He was a past president of the Altavista Little Theatre and enjoyed acting, performing and entertaining others. He enjoyed being in nature and looking at the night sky, sharing that love with his children. Mark displayed his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ in a true and remarkable way. He did not restrict this display to the religious institutions of the church but was a true Christian, a Christ-like, genuine man, representing true unconditional love he showed effortlessly to his family and all those around him. Mark's presence is irreplaceable, and he leaves behind a large, loving family who will continue to honor his legacy. Long time family friend and minister Reverend David R. Bayse will be officiating the graveside service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 at Finch & Finch Funeral & Cremation Service, Altavista.
