Nancy Gaddy Clements

Nancy Gaddy Clements, 90, of Long Island died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at The Carrington in Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late Richard Lawrence Clements. She was born February 4, 1924 in Campbell County, a daughter of the late Reid Jacob Gaddy and India Bralley Gaddy. She was a member of Edge Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by four daughters, Joan Milnor (Don), Ida Mae Saunders all of Long Island, Dianne Coates (Glen) of Raleigh, NC and Rachel Case (Gary) of Lynchburg; fifteen grandchildren, Michael Milnor (Penni), Angela Milnor, Kevin Saunders, Jeffrey Saunders (Wanda), Matthew Saunders (Kate), Sonya Coenen (Rob), Kristie Parcell, Jolie Russ (John), David Martin (Karen), Allison Cox (Clint), Paul Case (Holly), Ryan, Courtney and Spencer Case and Richard Major; fourteen great granchildren, Jamie Brown (Luke), Jake Milnor, Kodi Carvalho (Randy), Brandon, Jacob, Michael, Isaiah and Mackenzie Saunders, Riley Coenen, Sadie and Langdon Russ, Colby Parcell and Garrett and Madaline Cox; and one sister, Peggy Kirkpatrick of Arvada, CO. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard L. Clements, Jr.; three daughters, Gail Marie Clements, Jennifer Clements Major and Barbara Clements Martin; two grandsons, Charles E. Saunders and William P. Saunders, Jr.; three sisters, Grace Walthall, Patty Hudgins and Jacqueline Gaddy; five brothers, Robert “Bob”, Jacob “Jake”, Richard “Dick”, David “Buck” and Charles Gaddy. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Edge Baptist Church, Gladys by the Rev. David Jackson and Rev. Steve Emory with interment to follow in Perrows Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday at Finch & Finch, Inc. Funeral and Cremation Service, Gladys and other times at the residence of Joan and Don Milnor, 6985 Long Island Road, Long Island. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Carrington, for all their genuine love and care given to our beloved mother and grandmother.
