Nancy Lee Scherzer Webster

Nancy Lee Scherzer Webster, 78, of Altavista died Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of Major (USA, Ret.) Rudolph "Rudy" P. Webster for almost sixty-one years. She was born December 24, 1935 in Freeland, MI, daughter of the late Theodore Scherzer and Nina Glee Jasmin Scherzer. She was of the Lutheran faith, former CNA and a homemaker. Nancy was an avid needle worker, and loved to cross stitch, crochet, knit and sew. She also enjoyed gardening and bowling. She was a member of the Monday night church league, the Wednesday early bird league and the Thursday morning league. She loved to fish and watch the birds and deer she so faithfully fed. A fantastic cook, she was known to bake hundreds of biscuits and Christmas cookies, create crazy birthday cakes, and fry a tasty fish or chicken for her husband and family to enjoy. Even though she was 78, she still loved to play, building a snowman every year, and spending hours making her cats chase faux mice. She is survived by one daughter, Rose-Marie Hadeed of West Richland, WA; former son-in-law Dr. Anthony Hadeed of Richland, WA; one brother, Larry Scherzer of Bay City, MI; three sisters, Sally S. Schlicker and her husband Verner of Midland, MI, Emily S. Wagner of Bay City, MI, and Naomi S. Laurie and her husband William of Auburn, MI; four grandchildren, Shannon Lee Hadeed and her husband Jessie Buck of Virginia Beach, Sabrina Marie Hadeed of Bend, OR, Jameal Hadeed and his wife Tiann and their soon to be born son, Josiah of Seattle, WA, and Jowed Hadeed and his fiancÃ© Porsche Bennett of Seattle, WA; one great grandchild, Lilah Lee Buck; and three feline companions, Yeller, Mufasa, and Purr Kitty. She was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Louise Schezer; and brother-in-law, Richard Wagner. Loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother she was a blessing to her family. She loved them and spent her life dedicated to them. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 31, 2014 at Finch and Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. Rick Buck.
