Paulette Marie Myers Chapman

Paulette Marie Myers Chapman, 70 of Rustburg, Virginia died Monday, March 6, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pembroke, Virginia on January 14, 1953 she was the daughter of the late Bobby Miller Myers Sr. & Dolly Falls Myers. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Chapman Thacker and husband Ronald of Rustburg, VA, son Kelly Chapman and wife Julie of Huddleston, VA, sister, Judy Hudson (George) of Lynchburg, three brothers, Bobby Myers Jr. (Wanda), Brian Myers (Regina) and Jeff Myers (Lisa) all of Lynchburg & a sister-in-law, Audrey Myers of Lynchburg as well as numerous nieces & nephews that she loved like her own children. She also leaves behind her grandchildren that she absolutely adored, Katelyn Thacker, Kersey and husband Montana, Kaycie Thacker and Ted Anthony Jennings III (T3) all of Lynchburg, VA, Kaitlin Elliott of Rustburg, VA and Konner and Anna Chapman, Makinzey and Logan Brewer, Brendan and Rosie Ballard and Chelsea Lewis all of Huddleston, VA. Paulette also leaves behind two special and dedicated friends, Luanne Mayhugh of Appomattox, VA and Terry DeJarnette of Lynchburg, VA and one adopted Granddaughter, Samantha Stilwell of Madison Heights, VA. Paulette was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life of 50 years, Jimmy Chapman, daughter, Janice Chapman, brother, William (Billy) Myers and sister Renay Elliott. Paulette was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier, a job that she loved but was forced to retire early from due to her health. The family would like to thank all of our family and friends that stepped up in the time of need and helped us provide the best possible care we could for Mama. We would like to especially thank life long family friend Jetta Morgan for the dedication, amazing love & care she gave our Mama throughout her long battle. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by Pastor Sam Stump. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the residence.
