Calvin Harrington Worsham

Calvin Harrington Worsham, 69, of 2228 Grit Road, Hurt, died Friday, March 19, 2021 at his home. He was born May 13, 1951 in Altavista, a son of the late Jessie Nathaniel Worsham, Sr. and Ida Mayhew Worsham. He was a member of Edge Hill Baptist Church and US Army Vietnam Veteran. Calvin enjoyed antique car restoration and carpentry work. He is survived by one sister, Cathy Worsham of Asheboro, NC; eight nieces and nephews, David Crawley, Jr., Wayne Crawley, Bobby Crawley, Whitney Ruggieri, Craig Worsham, Mike Worsham, Angela Nelson and Brandon Hutcherson; dear friends, Mary Robertson, Rhonda Reynolds, Debbie Crews, Tom and Tamera Hutcherson; a sister-in-law, Joan Worsham; and brother-in-law, David Crawley. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie N. Worsham, Jr. and Virgil Everette Worsham; one sister, Minerva Worsham Crawley. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Gretna Burial Park by the Rev. Steve Morris with military honors by American Legion Altavista Memorial Post 36 and Gretna Post 232. The family will receive friends at the residence.
