Diego Ulises Chavez Manzano, 22, of Charlottesville, VA died Saturday, March 19, 2022 at University of Virginia Hospital. He was born August 20, 1999, in El Salvador, a son of Gustavo Chavez and Salvadora Mercedes Manzano. In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life, Karla Pineda; a daughter, Valerie Giana Chavez Pineda both of Charlottesville, VA; brother, Cristian Chavez of El Salvador; and sister, Joanna Chavez, also of El Salvador. A funeral mass will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Church of the Incarnation, Charlottesville, VA 22901 by the Rev. Msgr. Timothy Keeney with interment to follow at a later date in El Salvador. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
