James Wade Rorer

James Wade "Jimmy" Rorer, 78, formerly of Altavista died Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Guggenheimer Health & Rehab Center in Lynchburg. He was born April 22, 1944 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Henry Woodrow Rorer and Lenora Stephens Rorer. Jimmy was a member of Central Baptist Church and a retired mechanic with the former Western Auto in Altavista. He is survived by a sister, Etta Skinnell of Lynchburg. He was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Rorer. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. Jeremy Breaux. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
