Sandra Kay Spurlock Martin

Sandra Kay Spurlock Martin, 64, of 1420 Hickory Creek Road, Gladys went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Ronald Wayne Martin for 37 years. She was born March 22, 1957 in Dayton, OH, a daughter of the late Charles Edward Spurlock and Pauline Esther Blevins Thompson. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, a retired employee for John R. Jurgensen and past co-owner/operator of Martin's Body Shop. After retiring, she moved to Virginia to enjoy life in the beautiful home she and her husband built. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, William Weaver and his wife, Renee of Liberty Township, OH and Alex Martin of Gladys; three daughters, Michelle Lynn Harrington of Brookneal, Kristi Rappoport and her husband, Jason of West Point and Linda Francis and her husband, Nick of Beavercreek, OH; three brothers, Mike Spurlock, Darice Spurlock and his wife, Kathy, and Bruce Spurlock and his wife, Michelle all of Dayton, OH; one sister, Jana Brown and her husband, Mark of Troy, OH; eleven grandchildren, Andrew Simpson, Jade (Nathan) Eskew, Jordan Johnson, Jazmyn (Robert) McIntire, Aurora Jones (Cameron), Olivia Cook, Christian Weaver, Tom Cook, Ayden Harrington, Kelly Fore and Lincoln Fore; three great-grandchildren, Atticus McIntire, Reagan McIntire and Vivian Simpson and one great-grandson on the way, Emerson Eskew. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Danny Spurlock, Royce Spurlock and Tim Spurlock; one sister, Anita Hawn; two granddaughters, Allysen Sharp and Arianna Harrington; a son-in-law, Blair Farmer; and her mother and father-in-law, Doris and Hubert Martin. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Rev. Jamie Adams. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service at the church. Sandra will be available for viewing, Monday, February 14, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Finch & Finch, Funeral & Cremation Service, Gladys.
