William Harold Morris, 87, of Lynchburg died Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Jean Hargus Morris. He was born August 13, 1934 in Nelson County, a son of the late William Andrew Morris, Jr. and Anna Massie Morris. He was a member of Motley United Methodist Church, a retired employee of Gould Battery, and a U.S. Navy veteran. He is survived by one son, Rev. Michael Steven Morris of Hurt, one sister, Debra Morris Apperson of Amherst, three grandchildren, Charles Morris (Laura) of Hurt, Travis Morris (Kimberly) of Gretna and Brandon Morris (Renae) of PA; multiple great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Junis Williams. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Mike Morris; and a daughter-in-law, Billie Morris. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista is in charge of arrangements.
