Beatrice Arthur Arthur

Beatrice A. Arthur, 87, formerly of Altavista died Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Keowee Place in Seneca, SC. She was the wife of the late Jesse Board Arthur, Sr. She was born July 12, 1936 in Altavista, a daughter of the late James R. Arthur and Doris Bondurant Arthur. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former purchasing agent for The Lane Company and Schrader Bridgeport lastly spending her time as a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Jesse B. Arthur, Jr. and his wife, Doris of Nashville, TN and Jeffrey D. Arthur and his wife, Amy of Lewisville, NC; two daughters, Carla A. Keasler and her husband, Bob and Kimberly D. Arthur all of Seneca, SC; three brothers, Eric R. Arthur, Sr. and his wife, Faye of Halifax, Terry J. Arthur and his wife, Diane of Wilmington, NC, Wallace M. Arthur and his wife, Linda of Glen Allen; three sisters, Geraldine A. Dillard of Hurt, Donna A. Lynch and her husband, John of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Iva A. Ciccarello and her husband, Joe of Austin, TX; two brothers-in-law, Julian V. Cole of Ashburn and David Snow of Texas; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Richardson and her husband, Brad of Fair Play, SC, Jessica Hansen and her husband, Bryan of Marietta, GA, Marett A. Panter and her husband, Jeremy of Gainesville, GA, Jeremy Arthur of Grand Junction, CO and Katie Smith Diachenko and her husband, John of Winston Salem, NC; and eight great-grandchildren, Noah Richardson, Nate Richardson, Avery Hansen, Elle Hansen, Riley Hansen, Anne Marie Panter, Claire Diachenko and Anna Kate Diachenko. She was preceded in death by four brothers, James R. Arthur, Jr., Elbert R. Arthur, Jack G. Arthur and Jason M. Arthur; and four sisters, Marlene A. Cole, Katherine A. Hopkins, Tiny Eleanor Arthur and Helen A. Snow. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. Alden Gallimore. The family will receive friends following the service.
